Maple Syrup Squares

• 2 cups flour
• 4tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ cup pure lard
• 2/3 cup milk
• 2 cups maple syrup

Mix dry ingredients, cut in lard and add milk.

Roll out and cut into squares.

Bring maple syrup to a boil in an ovenproof casserole.

Place squares into hot maple syrup.

BAKE AT 325ºF until golden and baked through.
