Maple Glazed Root Vegetables
- 2 cups turnip (cubed)
- 4 carrots cut into sticks or slices
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or grated maple sugar
Cook turnips and carrots in boiling salted water until tender.
Drain vegetables and set aside.
In a heavy saucepan, melt butter, and add maple syrup or sugar and cook over medium heat until the mixture caramelizes.
Add carrot and turnips and stir gently to coat.
Serve immediately with meat.
